Nine-Week Residential School

Our taxidermy school offers one nine-week winter course each year. Professionally trained instructors dedicated to the success of each student provide the foundation necessary for you to learn taxidermy. You’ll be surprised at the wealth of information you will learn in just nine weeks to give you the experience, encouragement and confidence you need to begin a successful career in taxidermy.

*NEW* Speciality Courses

We now offer Specialty Courses. Choices consist of deer, bird, and fish classes depending on the popularity and interest for the different classes.

Previously we have offered:

*A 2 Week Game Head Course. Students will learn anatomy along with Tom Matuska’s mounting methods which put them far ahead of the competition in speed, realism, and durability.

*A 1 Week Fish Reproduction Course. Students will learn innovative and creative methods for making and finishing ultra realistic fiberglass fish reproductions. Focus will be on finishing and painting techniques for todays commercial reproduction blanks.

*A 2 Week Bird Course. The two week bird class focuses on waterfowl and game birds. Students will study bird anatomy and step-by-step procedures necessary to recreate Mother Natures beautiful winged creatures!

Each of these classes is designed for the beginners as well as the experienced taxidermists. Our promise is to take you at the skill level you are at and move you forward. Classes are $1,500-$1,800/week which includes specimens, all supplies, tool box, reference materials and information, and a certificate of completion. (For those students who attend 2 specialty classes, a 10% discount will apply if both courses are taken in the same year.)
